Favourite fashion quotes...

"Fashions fade, style is eternal"
- Yves St Laurent

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening".
- Coco Chanel

(Ok, so I admit, this was a half-hearted blog post, I apologise, I was time poor! What other fashion quotes do you guys love?)

Gimme more...

We had so many beautiful shots it was hard to choose just 20 for the lookbook. Some were weird and wacky, some were quirky, others were cute. Some were god damn smokin' hot and some were incredibly beautiful. It seems a shame not to show you them all, but alas, we can't. And couldn't, there were just too many!

The idea behind gran's loose change is that you mix and match our vintage pieces with your own personal style. We don't expect you to wear head to toe gran's loose change just as much as we would hate to see someone in head to toe designer. It's about personality, it's about individuality and it's about making it work for you.

Each of our models was styled in a way that they might wear the clothes..how do you wear yours?

Here's a few more behinds the scenes/culled shots for you to cast your eyes over...

Check out the the lookbook, the drifter's escape, here

Fancy that!

Thanks to our new friends at Fancy! blog for this shout out

Behind the scenes, living the dream...

We shot our second lookbook last weekend. It was a beautiful day on a beautiful farm out the back of Te Puna. Trouble is, some of the products sold over the weekend! Beauty is, the people love gran's loose change!!

We couldn't have done it without the wonderful Julia Keddell, photographer extraordinaire and models: Josh Muller, Jamee Thomas, Finn Geoghegan and Natalie Brownrigg.

We are still in the stages of editing but here's a sneak peak at the behind the scenes shots of our rustic Sunday shoot.

gran's loose change loves Frankie mag...

From Pharrell to Frankie...Yep, that's right, we featured on the Frankie mag website today and we feel pretty spesh.

Upon crossing the ditch in 2007, Frankie was my number one read. Every. Single. Month. So to be featured in this mag, filled to the brim with designers, artists, writers and other such creative talent, it warms my icy heart! Read the tit-bit here.

gran's loose change on FashioNZ

My lovely and talented friend, Natalie, editor of online magazines FashioNZ.co.nz and gloss.co.nz asked if I'd write a vintage-inspired blog for FashioNZ - and because I love writing (as well as securing a little self-promotion) I, of course said yes!

Each month you will now find me blogging about op-shopping, secret vintage haunts, experiences, memories, hot styles, icons and more... Check out my first post here.

Why thank you...

"I would like to congratulate you on your website. It is genius, never have such great clothes been gathered all in one place and with such a good style to price ratio".

Lemme see...!

Buyer extraordinaire Erin (EC) has been doing her thing this week, even photographing some of the pieces she's bought for her own photography portfolio. Woot woot (that's a wolf whistle you know). We can't WAIT to get our hot little hands on her loot, get it photographed and uploaded for you!
